Welcome to the Earl of Chatham

Jack & Joan Harland welcome you to the Earl of Chatham public house in the beautiful Cornish town of Lostwithiel.

Lostwithiel is Cornwall’s hidden treasure, nestling in the Fowey River valley about 6 miles east of the Eden Project and 5 miles north of Fowey. We’re overlooked by the 12th century Restormel Castle and surrounded by beautiful countryside with the river meandering through the centre of the town.

Lostwithiel is an ideal base for taking a holiday in Cornwall. During the day you will be ideally situated for exploring the Eden Project or Lanhydrock House, the North and South coasts are in easy reach, or why not venture further afield to places such as, St Ives, Falmouth or Penzance, which are only an hour's drive away.

Our Sunday lunches are very popular and it is strongly advised to book in advance, as space is limited.
